The 'Opinionated Wretch' blog was established as a way for me, the Opinionated Wretch, to organise my thoughts on controversial topics. Here I can contemplate issues, formulate my own view and reflect on my approach to situations and how they all shape over time. Many of my friends have asked for my opinion on certain 'hot topics' which I also post here, to save repeating myself again and again to my friends individually as they ask.
Disclaimer: All blog posts here are my individual thoughts and although I am a Conservative Quaker, these views are still mine personally and thus do not necessarily reflect the views of Quakers as a whole, nor the views of my friends, family and university. This blog is like my own personal journal of ideas that I direct people to when they ask me to share my opinion. The blog name: Opinionated comes from the fact I am sharing my opinions, but also that I will not budge on what I think. I'm stubborn and I stick to my guns. I don't expect people to feel the same way, but they should at least respect how I feel. The wretch part comes from the line, 'That saved a wretch like me...' from the hymn 'Amazing Grace'. I am a wretch because I have sinned in breaking God's laws. Thus we have a blog authored by an Opinionated Wretch!
